About Us!
Applewood Event Hire is run by husband and wife team Simon and Leah Merriman. Simon has over 15 years experience within the events industry having co owned a successful marquee company (Wings Events Limited) along side furniture and dance floor company Applewood Event Hire and Leah ran Little Wishes Hire for 5 years which really made a name for itself within the wedding industry. In 2018 Simon decided to leave the marquees behind and they decided to merge Applewood Event Hire and Little Wishes Hire to bring you all your event requirements under one roof!
Applewood Event Hire was born out of the passion to be more involved in events and have the time to enjoy working with customers and suppliers as well as spending time with the family. Simon is fantastic at making a lot of the items we hire and had a great eye for detail, while Leah comes up with the ideas that are on trend each season.
Simon and Leah know how important the smaller details are and like to work with customers to achieve their vision. Every year they will be adding to our stock and changing with trends and demands, this is the most exciting part of the job!
